Marissa De La Paz

Marissa joined the staff of Chicago Cardiology Institute in 2012. She is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. Marissa completed her Masters of Science in Nursing at Northern Illinois University in 2011 and is Board Certified in the specialty area of Adult Health.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lewis University and later worked as a Registered Nurse for over 10 years at St. Alexius Medical Center in various specialties before completing the Adult Nurse Practitioner Program at Northern Illinois University.
Marissa is interested in empowering patients to become active participants in their health care through the emphasis of wellness promotion, disease prevention, risk factor modification and patient education.
Marissa holds membership in the Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau.
